    Response to Intervention, though still in a trial phase, has the potential to truly differentiate learning so that every child is challenged and shows growth. It is a very painful transition to middle school where no ability grouping exists and whole-class learning without differentiation leaves learners at both ends of the ability spectrum with unmet needs. How can we progress at the middle school level?
