Burlington was part of the PARCC Field Test this past spring along with many other districts in Massachusetts. Unlike the other districts, Burlington Field Tested the on-line PARCC Test across all grades in both language arts and mathematics.
While we received no individual student results, we were able to contribute to a case study, with the Revere Public Schools, detailing the process of implementing a large-scale, on-line assessment. Our other partners in this case study included the MA Association of School Superintendents, the MA Teachers’ Association, the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the Rennie Center. We are grateful for all of their contributions and support.
The case study is being released in two phases – a technical resource guide and a more detailed case study. The technical Resource Guide is currently available.
