Camp Bournedale Postponed

We have decided to postpone the grade 5 Camp Bournedale Trip due to the heightened threat level surrounding the EEE virus.  We were informed today of the 5th diagnosed case.  This additional case plus the weather forecast led us to the conclusion that the best course of action was to postpone until after a frost or the EEE threat levels were lowered.

Thank you for your understanding.  We will communicate the new dates of the Camp Bournedale Trip by Friday.

i hope everyone has had a chance to read this, i think a phone call would have been nice too, like when they delay or cancel school. some fifth graders may not relay the message to their parents.

Thank you. The computer call was made and scheduled for 6:00 PM. We will check whether your number is in the system.

I agree. We should have received either a call or an email yesterday afternoon when the decision was made. I received this notice this morning at 7:45.

I never got a phone call either. I know other parents from Francis Wyman didn’t either because of all the texts going around asking what was going on. I wouldn’t have known it was canceled if my daughter hadn’t told me. Nothing was posted on the Francis Wyman website and I only found Dr. Conti’s blog message by chance. I agree with canceling it, but I am disappointed that parents weren’t notified.

Agree with all of the above, no call was received nor notice/email sent home. Agree with decision but poor and very late communication that could have been avoided.
