Discover how good you are supposed to feel! Lower your stress levels and create a sense of well-being and calm. This yoga class is for everyone — whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years and you want to take a break rather than break a sweat. No need to sign up, just drop in.

Gently stretch nearly every muscle in your body through a very gentle flow while exploring proper posture and breathing techniques. Each class begins with a calm centering and ends with a complete mind/body relaxation that will leave you refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated.

In this class there is no pushing to reach perfection – just releasing and releasing again into the perfection that is already there within you. The focus of this class is on unleashing your personal energy and learning how to listen to your body and find your own inner wisdom.

Although there are countless physical benefits to yoga, an authentic yoga practice brings you in touch with yourself. It creates a mind-body-soul union with benefits that follow you off of the mat and into your daily life.

Yoga’s emphasis on breathing also teaches you to breathe deeper and more fully – even when you are not practicing on your mat. This leads to clarity, stillness of mind and improved concentration. This mind-body connection also helps to reduce anxiety, emotional tension and mood swings. It has also been known to decrease blood pressure.

I am a certified yoga instructor and have been teaching Hatha Yoga – a form which blends various styles of yoga – for over 10 years. I have adopted a slow, internal approach to yoga, which focuses on energy flow, meditation, breath work, alignment, and working from “the inside out.” My philosophy is that yoga is to be a personal experience and that the yoga process should be easily accessible to individuals of any age or ability level.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a blanket or thick towel to use as a prop. Some yoga mats are available, but feel free to bring your own. Bring a water bottle.
