This week the Board of Health received a new shipment of seasonal flu vaccine. A nurse will be available to give seasonal flu shots to town employees and their families on Thursday, 12/3, from 10am – 12noon and 1pm – 4pm.
We have two types of vaccine – nasal mist and injection. If you are screened and are eligible for nasal mist, that is the type of vaccine you will be offered. Injectable vaccine is prioritized for those who can not receive nasal mist.
Please note for pregnant women: we do have a supply of pre-filled preservative-free injectable seasonal flu vaccine. If you are pregnant and would like to receive this type of vaccine, please advise the registration person and the nurse before you receive your shot. If you are pregnant, you can not be given nasal mist.
