I am very pleased to announce all school employees will soon have access to a new benefit. Beginning July 1st, the Burlington Schools will offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which will be available to you and anyone in your household.
The EAP is a confidential resource to you and your family that can help you in many ways, including dealing with problems such as:
* Relationship issues
* Legal concerns
* Financial guidance
* Parenting issues
* Substance abuse
Access to the EAP is available 24 hours a day, and the first 3 consults (per need to call) are prepaid for you so you will not have any costs associated. Our EAP provider, EAP Systems in Woburn, MA, has been providing these services for Town employees for many years. They can be reached at 800-327-6721. All contact with the EAP is absolutely confidential and I can assure you that no identifying information is shared with your employer.
Additionally, EAP Systems also offers an enhancement called Work/Life Express, which is an interactive website that provides you with educational resources, legal and financial information, discounts at over 500 merchants.
Please take a look at the attached letter of introduction from Dr. Conti, as well as the information on the Work/Life Express benefit. Additional information will be sent to your schools next week.
