Burlington Education Foundation

The Burlington Education Foundation’s fifth annual “Exercise for Education” Road Race was a great success.  Congratulations and thank you to all involved.  If I ever plan a siege of a small country, I am asking Paula Boermeester to plan the details.

The Burlington Education Foundation (BEF) “is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote community involvement in education by channeling donations from businesses and individuals to provide Burlington teachers with an alternative source of funding for curriculum enrichment programs.”  Taken from the BEF website – http://www.burlingtonedfoundation.org/

Once again, thanks to the BEF for the Starlab! It is one of the most exciting pieces of science equipment we own. Students from grades 1 to 12 absolutely love the experience. I wish everyone could view the first graders arrive for Starlab dressed in their PJs! The fifth grades just plain “OU and AH” when the stars come up in the dome.
This is an expensive gift to the Burlington Science Center that continues to provide exciting science education for many students every year.
